Trump Addresses Conflict-of-Interest Issues

Will Place U.S. Government in ‘Blind Trust’, Focus on Business

Washington DC (TDP)  President Donald Trump today addressed concerns over potential conflict-of-interest issues concerning his ownership of global business ventures while fulfilling his duties as President. Trump’s attorney, Sherri Dillon, announced his plans to fully divest his interests in the Executive Branch by placing the United States Government in a “Blind Trust” to be run by his appointed Trustee, Vice-President-Elect Mike Pence.  “This will free Mr. Trump to pursue more lucrative international business opportunities without the limitations or conflicts inherent in becoming leader of the free world,” Dillon explained.  “I could actually run my business and run government at the same time,” Trump said. “I don’t like the way that looks but I’d be able to do it.”
